Summary
Optimize provider financial flow from patient registration to final payment by analyzing and improving coding, billing, claims collections, and workflows to boost revenue and efficiency. The role involves staff training, system implementation, compliance, and strong analytical skills.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth reviews of current workflows (registration, coding, billing, collections, and denials).
Develop action plans and strategies to correct identified issues, improve processes, and leverage technology.
Lead or support the implementation of new systems, processes, or training programs.
Track key metrics and report on progress.
Educate staff on best practices, new policies, and compliance.
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and payer rules.
Provide collaborative client‑facing support to meet project plan requirements and deliverable timelines.
Collaborate with team resources to draft reports.
Present review results to client contacts as qualified.
Perform engagement procedures to identify issues, review evidence, and document business processes.
Prepare working papers to support results with minimal edits.
Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment.
Coordinate and communicate results of consulting and internal audit projects via written reports and oral presentations.
Provide input to the project team and status updates to leadership during all project phases.
Ensure PERCS’ high expectations for quality in all assigned projects.
Perform related projects or work as assigned.
Proposals and Business Development
Relay business development opportunities from client communications or inquiries to expand scope or generate new work.
Participate with leadership in business marketing initiatives at conferences or sales calls to provide technical expertise when needed.
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in finance, healthcare administration, or related field. Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management, billing, coding, or finance operations with an AAPC credential (CIC® or COC®) or AHIMA credential (CCS, RHIT or RHIA) is required. Additional certifications such as CPMA®, CDEI®, CDEO®, CCDS, or CRCS® are a bonus.
Experience
Minimum five (5) years of revenue cycle management, health care consulting, and/or industry experience required with professional fee claims.

Contract Management
Experience with Cerner PowerChart, EPIC, Meditech, and other EMR systems preferred.
Knowledge
Above‑average knowledge of Healthcare Compliance, HIPAA and HITECH requirements.
Knowledge of healthcare technology solutions such as Electronic Medical Record or Patient Financial Services systems.
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements.
Skills
Ability to write business reports or other professional deliverables.
Excellent customer service skills, in‑person and telephonically.
Strong written communication and report presentation.
Competent use of Microsoft Office® (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Other Requirements
Job performance evaluations will require compliance with PERCS Compliance Program.
Equipment Operated
Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, postal machines, etc. Expert level MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe publishing.
Work Environment
Remote position with possible travel of approximately 25%. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to meet project/client demands, promotional events, and team needs.
Physical Requirements
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform tasks in a professional office environment; sitting 90% of the day; manual dexterity to operate office machines; stooping, bending, lifting up to 20 lbs; and managing stress from multiple demands.
