Accounting Technician
Accounting Technician The Accounting Technician duties include, but are not limited to: Utilizes a range of software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) including but not limited to, spreadsheets, word processing, internet, and communications. Researches and resolves issues in a paperless system including, but not limited to vendor issues, missing payments and rejects. Consults with customers providing advice and guidance concerning policies, procedures and regulations. Knowledge of a variety of procedures and their relationships to other functions to research and investigate problems in order to advise a resolution. Coordinates processing local and temporary duty (TDY) transactions, Coordinates, reviews, audits and reconciles government travel, convenience check and purchase card transactions. Meets the needs of customers while supporting all stakeholders by communicating in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner. Handles conflict and problems in dealing with all stakeholders constructively and appropriately. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm Telework: This position is not authorized for telework.
