Production Associate - Material Prep
OverviewUnder the general direction of the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for supporting various maintenance functions including but not limited to: troubleshooting running equipment, modifications to existing equipment, preventative and predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Position will require flexible hours on the weekends. Must be able to work overtime.ResponsibilitiesAssembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units.Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Works under immediate supervision.Maintain a safe and clean work environment.Other duties as assignedKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesHas knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.Knowledge of all door components.Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square, Screwdriver.Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.Required to stand for long periods of time.May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers.Due to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold.Ability to lift to 50+ lbs. frequently.Regular attendance and timeliness are an essential function of the job in order not to have any disruptions in production and customer service.Follow all operational and safety SOP's as written.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.Previous work experience in a production environment, preferred
