About the Role
We’re looking for an Energy Advisor to meet with homeowners, evaluate their backup power needs, and provide customized generator solutions. This is a full-time, customer-facing sales role focused on evenings and weekends — when homeowners are actually available.
In addition to running in-home consultations, you’ll also support lead development by canvassing targeted neighborhoods, responding to inbound leads after hours, and following up with customers who are considering their options.
This position is designed for someone who thrives on flexibility, enjoys meeting people, and wants to grow with a company that is expanding aggressively in the residential generator and electrical market.
What You’ll Do -
Conduct in-home generator consultations during evenings and weekends
Respond to after-hours inbound leads (calls, web forms, texts) to book appointments quickly
Canvass neighborhoods near existing generator installations or after storm events to generate new leads
Follow up with past estimates and nurture leads that haven’t yet closed
Prepare proposals and work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience
Step in during high-demand periods (storms, outages) to help handle surge in generator inquiries
Standard Schedule
Sunday: Flex/Reserve Day (Used during surge events)
Monday: Flex/Reserve Day (Used during surge events)
Tuesday: OFF
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 1PM - 8PM
Saturday: 10AM - 6PM
This is a five-day work week (40 hours), with the expectation of occasional 6th-day coverage during major weather events. During normal operations, the Energy Advisor may also be scheduled for daytime support hours with reasonable advance notice to assist with overflow appointments, canvassing, or lead follow-up.
Compensation
Base salary with draw + 5% commission on total sales
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in sales, customer service, or home services (HVAC, solar, roofing, pest control, plumbing/electrical all translate well)
Strong communication skills; able to build trust quickly with homeowners
Comfortable with flexible hours and working evenings/weekends
Self-motivated — able to fill downtime with canvassing or lead follow-up without being told
Tech savvy enough to use CRM/dispatching tools (ServiceTitan experience a plus)
