This role performs professional-level full lifecycle recruiting to support a variety of internal clients in a fast-paced environment.Essential FunctionsProvides consultative services to hiring managers and other HR professionals in the areas recruiting, screening and talent acquisitionReviews staffing requests and develops appropriate sourcing and staffing strategies that meet the clients' objectivesReviews resumes and job applications in order to determine if work history, education, training, knowledge, experience, job skills, abilities, and salary expectations meet the job requirementsPre-screens and forwards qualified applicants to the hiring manager and/or selection panelsWorks with hiring managers in establishing additional selection criteria to more effectively select the best qualified candidatesPerforms salary analysis and negotiates salary offers with applicantsPerforms all tasks and job functions in compliance with regulatory requirementsRecruiting and selecting interns or apprentices to fit the organization's needs and goalsCreating and implementing training programs to prepare interns or apprentices for their rolesProviding support and guidance to interns or apprentices throughout their time with the organizationManaging relationships with external partners and organizations if applicableTracking and reporting on the progress of the internship or apprenticeship programEnsuring compliance with regulations and guidelines related to internships or apprenticeshipsOther FunctionsAttends job fairs, hiring events, and similar activitiesMay assess the effectiveness and efficiency of present or new staffing programs and technologiesConducts training workshops for hiring managers and other WSSC Water employeesMay support new employee onboarding and orientationPerforms other related duties as requiredWork Environment And Physical DemandsBusiness casual office settingRequired Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesThorough knowledge of the principles and best practices of talent acquisition, including applicable federal, state and local lawsWorking knowledge of human resources management, business administration and project managementAbility to work cooperatively with peers and supervisors in a team-based environmentAbility to make independent decisions, solve problems and implement those decisionsAbility to exercise sound judgment; ability to use standard office automation softwareMinimum Education, Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree5+ years experience in recruiting and talent acquisition, with demonstrated ability using full lifecycle recruiting processesOrHigh school diploma or equivalent9+ years experience in recruiting and talent acquisition, with demonstrated ability using full lifecycle recruiting processesAdditional RequirementsStrong experience with a variety of Application Tracking System and ERP systemsMust be proficient in the use of MS Office applicationsCompletion of the WSSC Water Financial Disclosure statement within 30 days of employment and annually thereafterPreferencesExperience using creative sourcing methodsCertification as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCPPublic sector recruiting experienceSalary$96,038 - $163,523Posting Detail InformationEEO StatementAN EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERIt is the policy of the Commission to select new employees and to promote current employees without regard to race, sexual orientation, sex, religion, national origin, marital status, or handicap.
