Material Handler

Responsibilities * Put materials away in designated warehouse locations using the correct part number, lot number, quantity, and storage location. * Transport production and non-production materials to designated locations using carts, forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks, or other approved material-handling equipment. * Participate in and complete weekly cycle count activities to maintain inventory accuracy. * Perform system transactions accurately to identify and maintain the status of materials. * Inspect packages visually upon delivery for apparent damage. * Compare packing slips, invoices, freight bills, package labels, and received quantities to verify the accuracy of incoming materials. * Document and communicate discrepancies, damaged materials, or inventory issues to the appropriate personnel. * Safely lift, move, and handle packages weighing up to 50 pounds. * Use judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills to address routine material-handling and inventory issues. * Maintain accurate inventory and material records in accordance with established procedures. * Support company initiatives and applicable Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS). * Follow applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, and assigned processes. * Maintain positive and professional communication with employees, customers, contractors, vendors, and other business partners. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and material-handling area. * Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent. * Three to five years of related material-handling, warehouse, inventory, logistics, manufacturing, or comparable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. * Experience working with inventory, receiving, material movement, stocking, or warehouse operations. * Ability to accurately identify and handle materials using part numbers, lot numbers, quantities, and designated locations. * Basic computer skills and ability to complete accurate system transactions. * Experience with SAP inventory systems is preferred but not required. * Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, packing slips, invoices, labels, and other relevant documentation. * Ability to perform basic inventory and quantity calculations. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy. * Ability to exercise judgment and troubleshoot routine operational issues. * Forklift certification/license may be required for duties involving forklift operation, subject to applicable law and company requirements.
