We take pride in doing it right the first time and supporting critical applications where quality is non-negotiable.We are seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead our Quality function and drive compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.Position SummaryThe Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with AS9100, internal standards, and customer requirements. This role leads the quality team, manages audits and corrective actions, and partners closely with Engineering and Production to drive measurable improvements in quality and performance.This position plays a critical role in maintaining certification, reducing defects, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.What Success Looks LikeMaintain AS9100 certification with successful audit outcomesReduce internal defects, rework, and cost of poor quality (COPQ)Improve customer quality performance (scorecards, escapes, RMAs)Drive timely and effective corrective actions (internal and external)Build a strong, accountable, and capable quality teamKey ResponsibilitiesQuality Oversight & ComplianceManage and maintain the QMS in compliance with AS9100 and customer requirementsEnsure execution of inspections, audits, and quality controlsOversee NCRs, RMAs, FAIs, and engineering change activitiesLead internal and external audits, including customer and registrar auditsEnsure adherence to specifications, procedures, and regulatory requirementsSupport contract review and risk assessment processesCustomer & Supplier QualityServe as primary point of contact for customer quality interactionsManage customer audits, corrective actions (SCARs), and scorecardsPartner with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performanceTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop Quality Inspectors, Engineers, and Test TechniciansManage hiring, onboarding, and performance management within the departmentEnsure proper staffing and coverage to meet production demandsPromote a culture of accountability and continuous improvementCorrective Actions & Continuous ImprovementLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action effortsImplement sustainable improvements to reduce defects and variationDrive process improvements in collaboration with Production and EngineeringReporting & MetricsTrack and report KPIs to leadership (scrap, rework, FPY, customer returns, etc.)Provide data-driven insights to support operational and strategic decisionsMinimum QualificationsEducation & Experience7+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferredExperience in AS9100 or ISO-certified environments requiredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong leadership and team development skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and MIL standardsWorking knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 (certification preferred)Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologiesStrong understanding of quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement toolsProficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systemsFamiliarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)Strong communication and organizational skillsWhy Join UsGrowing company with strong leadership and investment in operationsHigh-impact role with visibility to leadershipOpportunity to build and shape the Quality functionCompetitive compensation and benefits
