Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer Department: Bridge Location: Exton, PA Our Exton, PA office is currently seeking a Structural Engineer to support ongoing and new projects. We provide Bridge, Transportation, Construction Support, Water/Wastewater, Site/Civil, Building Systems, Design-Build, Survey/Mapping, and Technology services to a host of public and private clients. Responsibilities: Apply knowledge of engineering to assist in designing bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other transportation-related infrastructure. Perform engineering calculations from preliminary to final design. Work with the project team to develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates. Perform load rating calculations and prepare reports. Methodical approach to problem solving and completing project requirements, while working as part of a team or independently. Clearly communicate through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange. May conduct site investigations and NBIS bridge inspections. Assist project engineers and project managers with assignments as needed. Qualifications: BS in Civil Engineering. 0 to 3 years of structure design experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experienced utilizing MicroStation and/or AutoCAD. Experience with NBIS bridge inspection and/or load rating is a plus. Experience with AASHTOWare BrR, BAR7, and other load rating software is a plus.
