This role ensures compliance with quality control and quality assurance standards on construction materials and processes, supporting project teams and promoting safety across all operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction materials testing, familiarity with industry standards, and a commitment to delivering quality in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesAble to help place quality Asphalt and achieve passing results in a challenging environmentConduct field and laboratory testing of construction materials (e.g., asphalt, concrete, soil, aggregates) following applicable standards (ASTM, AASHTO, TxDOT)Review project specifications and drawings to ensure compliance with quality standardsMonitor and document field operations for adherence to quality standards and safety protocolsPrepare and maintain accurate and detailed test reports, inspection records, and documentationIdentify and report non-compliance issues, assisting in corrective action implementationCalibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable resultsWork closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to address quality concerns and provide technical supportAssist in training and mentoring junior technicians as neededEnsure compliance with company safety policies and promote a culture of safety awarenessQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is preferredMinimum of 6 months - 1 years of experience in construction quality control or related fieldsACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade INICET Level II in Construction Materials Testing (Soils, Asphalt, or Concrete)TxAPA or TxDOT certifications in asphalt, soils, or aggregates testing is preferredRequirementsHeavy civil construction experienceExperience pulling 10 foot trailerStrong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and testing proceduresProficiency in reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamProficiency in using computers and QCQA software for reporting and data managementBe able to work night shifts and weekends as neededApplicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
