Regional Sourcing ManagerPosition OverviewWe are a global manufacturing, packaging, logistics, and supply chain solutions company committed to delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-efficient products to customers across diverse industries. As part of our continued growth and organizational expansion, we are seeking a Regional Sourcing Manager to support sourcing activities across the Northeast region while being based out of our Chicago-area operations.This role is responsible for executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, supporting cost optimization, and ensuring material availability across multiple sites. The Regional Sourcing Manager works closely with buyers, plant teams, and leadership to align sourcing activities with broader operational and regional goals. This position reports directly to regional leadership and requires moderate travel to Northeast facilities.Key Responsibilities- Support regional sourcing efforts by coordinating material needs, supplier engagement, and purchasing activities across multiple facilities.- Lead day-to-day supplier interactions, including requesting quotes, reviewing proposals, and validating cost and lead-time information.- Compare supplier capabilities and pricing to identify opportunities for better value, improved delivery performance, or expanded supply options.- Partner with internal teams to evaluate whether materials or components should be produced internally or purchased externally.- Review transportation and logistics options to ensure materials move cost-effectively and in alignment with required timelines.- Monitor raw-material cost changes and evaluate their impact on overall spend and budgeting.- Troubleshoot supplier issues as they arise, coordinating solutions with plant operations, quality teams, and logistics.- Track and manage supplier lead times to prevent production delays and quickly address urgent or unexpected material needs.- Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers to support reliability, quality, and long-term operational goals.- Assist in managing sourcing-related cost initiatives, helping identify savings opportunities and process improvements.- Ensure sourcing activities follow internal compliance expectations, documentation standards, and risk-management practices.- Provide clear, consistent updates and reporting related to sourcing activity, supplier performance, and regional priorities.Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Finance or related field preferred.- 5+ years of sourcing or procurement experience.- Strong understanding of market data, forecasting techniques, and supply trends.- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.- Strong ERP proficiency with demonstrated experience in sourcing workflows and data accuracy.- Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with day-to-day problem solving.- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
