Certified Medical AssistantLocation: West Chester, PAType: Local ContractThe Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) supports healthcare providers by performing both clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient patient care and smooth office operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent patient communication.Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties:Prepare patients for examinations and proceduresRecord vital signs, medical history, and patient informationAssist physicians during exams and minor proceduresAdminister medications and injections as directedPerform basic lab tests (e.g., blood draws, urinalysis)Maintain and sterilize medical equipmentEnsure compliance with infection control and safety protocolsAdministrative Duties:Schedule patient appointments and manage calendarsVerify insurance and patient informationMaintain accurate medical records (EMR/EHR systems)Handle patient intake, documentation, and chartingProcess billing and coding information as neededAnswer phones and provide customer service to patientsQualifications:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)1+ year of clinical or medical office experience preferredKnowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical proceduresProficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systemsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCertifications (as required):CMA (AAMA) or equivalent certificationBasic Life Support (BLS) certification preferredSkills & Competencies:Attention to detail and accuracyMultitasking and time managementPatient-focused approachStrong teamwork and collaborationApply today to be part of a dedicated healthcare team!Prosperity thanks all applicants for their interest in this opportunity.
