Job Description (JD) Network Lab EngineerLocation- RemoteJob SummaryWe are looking for a motivated Network Lab Engineer to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot network lab environments. The candidate will support testing, configuration, and validation of networking devices and solutions in a lab setup.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain network lab equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.Prepare lab setups for testing and demonstrations.Perform network troubleshooting and issue resolution.Monitor lab infrastructure and ensure uptime of devices.Support network testing, validation, and documentation activities.Manage IP addressing, VLANs, routing, and switching configurations.Maintain inventory of lab devices and cables.Assist engineers in proof-of-concept (POC) and customer demo setups.Create and update technical documentation and test reports.Ensure proper cable management and lab cleanliness.Required SkillsBasic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing, Switching).Familiarity with Cisco/Juniper/Arista or similar networking devices.Understanding of network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, STP, DHCP, DNS.Hands-on troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of Linux/Windows systems is an advantage.Good communication and documentation skills.QualificationsBachelor s degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.CCNA or equivalent certification preferred.Preferred QualificationsExperience with network simulation tools like GNS3 or EVE-NG.Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Shell) is a plus.Exposure to data center or cloud networking is beneficial.
