Project Engineer (Construction)

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Construction Project Engineer located in Los Angeles, CA. The Construction Project Engineer will be responsible for project coordination, construction engineering, quality control, and submittals. Effective communication skills and collaboration with stakeholders will also be essential in ensuring project success.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development and review of project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocationCollaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project design and construction documents are accurate and meet project requirementsProvide technical support and guidance to project teams, subcontractors, and on-site personnel, addressing any technical queries or challenges that may ariseMonitor and report on project progress, including tracking construction activities, milestones, and critical path itemsReview and interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate implementation on-siteAssist in the management and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers, including procurement of materials and equipmentAssist in the preparation and review of change orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project budgetsAssist in the documentation and management of project-related data, including drawings, logs, reports, and project correspondenceCollaborate with project managers to track project costs, monitor budgets, and assist in the preparation of cost estimatesEnsure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any safety-related concernsRequirementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role in the construction industryStrong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and building codesProficiency in reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and drawingsExperience with construction management software and toolsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to find practical solutions to complex construction challengesStrong attention to detail and ability to work with precisionEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple prioritiesProfessional certifications (e.g., PE, LEED, OSHA) are a plusBenefitsBenefits401(k) matchingHealth / Dental / Vision insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time off
