Associate Scientist - Sample Management

Serves as an Associate Scientist to support the operation of automated lab equipment. Under the direct supervision of management, performs routine technical tasks and will begin to manage, organize, and troubleshoot more independently. Has operational knowledge of laboratory equipment. Has a basic understanding of clinical study protocols and procedures for specimen handling and storage.Responsibilities During a Typical Day Might Include The FollowingOperating automated laboratory systems, including biospecimen storage/retrieval equipment and liquid handlersTroubleshooting system errors and performing routine maintenance under supervisionAssisting in training and supporting teams who use automated systemsCommunicating with internal groups and external vendors to resolve equipmentrelated needsSupporting qualification and validation activities for new automated systemsWorking with automation programs with guidanceUsing LIMS to accurately track sample movement in real timeUsing ELN for documenting equipmentrelated activitiesUsing VBA macros to estimate and record run times; may write simple macros to support workflow organizationMaintaining GLP compliance for all lab work, documentation, and sample handlingKeeping individual and shared lab spaces clean and organizedFollowing all laboratory safety requirements and helping identify and correct safety concernsSharing information effectively with management and team membersParticipating in team or subteam meetings and occasionally presenting workDemonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethicEngaging in ongoing professional development and communicating regularly with management regarding performanceThis Role May Be For You If YouWork well in a teamoriented environment and can manage multiple tasks effectivelyCommunicate clearly and professionally with colleagues across departmentsAre organized, detailoriented, and proactive in your workAre comfortable learning new systems, tools, and automated technologiesCan follow established procedures while also identifying opportunities for improvementAre committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and complianceA Bachelors degree with 04 years of relevant experienceA Masters degree with 02 years of relevant experienceDoes this sound like you?
