Position Overview And Primary Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions)The Inventory Specialist (IS) will initiate and conduct inventories for supply management, inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization in support of Alutiiq Information Management’s (AIM) IMAP contract and Department of State Government Funded Equipment (DoS GFE). The IS will perform (but not limited to) and/or support analysis and coordination of inventories to establish proper accountability, inspection of materials, acquisition, distribution, allocation, and correct deficiencies. The IS will partner with Logistics’ functional areas for planning, implementation, and integration of government shipping requirements, including details of security and hazmat. The Inventory Specialist will integrate separate functions in planning or implementation in a logistics management program, as applicable. Below is a brief description (not limited to) of the roles and responsibilities:Role and ResponsibilitiesMaintains and analyzes databases of logistics information, orders, shipping status, delivery status, inventory, through multiple technology platformsMonitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity, and safety protocolsAssist in shipping of equipment utilizing secure and unsecure pouch, and unsecured Commercial means, tracking receipt of all shipped and incoming packages.Provide initial quality control for accuracy of materials and annotating storage locations in all databasesHelp maintain IMAP calibration program for tools and test equipment.Initiate quality and integrity checks for accuracy, consistency, and maximum usability for all equipment and PPT.Oversee property hand receipt program for materials issued to and/or materials returned by authorized personnel and maintains accurate documentationCreate and execute statistical activity reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly)Support and represent logistics management program for new employee orientationMaintain safety protocols for use of heavy machinery, updating safety checklist before useAssist with other projects and duties as assignedDeliverables May IncludeDaily order tracking status for a variety of recordsWeekly Inventory Log/reportMonthly Inventory Log/reportQuarterly Inventory Log/reportProgram equipment shipping statusOther duties as assigned to fulfill contract requirementsRequired Qualifications And ExperienceHigh school diplomaMinimum 3 years' progressive experience in logistical operations and/or supply-chain managementAbility to obtain and/or maintain a Top Secret ClearancePreferred SkillsStrong experience with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with inventory management programs and softwareExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to multi-task, and function in a fast-paced environment, meeting quick turnaround deadlinesSelf-Starter and strong team collaboration abilitiesKnowledge in government supply-chain management, logistics functions and DoS shipping and transportationGeneral understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)Typical Pay/Range: $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience
