Electrical Supervisor

The Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to work at the Nyssa Factory in Nyssa, Oregon. This is an exempt, salary position that reports to the Warehouse Manager. Primary responsibilities include maintenance of all electrical systems and machinery controls throughout the factory and providing direct supervision to electricians in support of factory operations. This position is responsible for training and maintaining efficient crews which includes establishing proper job procedures, enforcing company safety policies and practices, electrical license renewals, and preparing budgets for assigned maintenance accounts. The Electrical Supervisor is also responsible for new equipment installation and commissioning. This position must establish and maintain lines of communication, cooperation, coordination and informal working relationships between other departments of the company to ensure that the plans, programs and their progress are in harmony with, and contribute to, the Company’s overall objectives. Additional Responsibilities: This electrical supervisor will be expected to take a “hands-on” role with regards to physical installation, adjustment, maintenance and repair of both new and existing electrical and controls systems. This will include mechanical, conveying and production operations oversight, adjustment and repair at the discretion of the Warehouse Manager. This position is Monday-Friday, 8 hour days, but must be available to handle after-hours electrical emergencies. Qualifications: Journeyman Electrical License. Some mechanical experience and aptitude. Minimum five (5) years of experience in Factory operations and supervision OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
