Lead Teacher Dogwood Lane Children's Academy is a growing school that provides learning in a natural environment. The primary duty of the Lead Teacher is teaching students according to the established educational curriculum of Dogwood Lane Children's Academy (DLCA). Oversees curriculum, materials, management and general supervision of an assigned class. Responsible for the daily supervision and management of a class of eight to twenty children, with direct responsibility for four to ten children, between the ages of birth and five. We are looking for experienced lead teachers to add to our team. Applicants should have: Child Development Degree or Coursework At least 1 year of experience as a Lead Teacher in a licensed childcare center Current SC DSS Background Qualifying Letter Open mind to integrating Montessori and Reggio philosophies into their teaching style Strong classroom management skills Ability to build relationships with teacher assistant(s) and delegate tasks as needed Job Type: Full-time Salary: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift License/Certification: SC DSS Childcare Criminal Background Check (Required) Experience in licensed childcare school (Preferred)
