Mobile Application Developer

Overview In this role you will architect, build, and enhance mobile applications for mission-critical DHS/CBP systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, real-time solutions and guide design decisions based on objectives and constraints. You’ll participate in the full software lifecycle, emphasizing quality, testing, and DevOps practices. This position combines hands-on development with problem-solving to ensure robust mobile experiences. ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, and deliver mobile applications for Android and iOSCollaborate across teams to develop scalable, real-time systemsContribute to all SDLC phases including scope, architecture, coding, and testingTroubleshoot issues and apply preventative measures to improve stabilityRecommend best designs based on business objectives, timelines, and resourcesParticipate in or lead major project deliverables within a DevOps/Agile environment Key requirements5+ years in Mobile Application Development (Android & iOS)Experience with Front-end Mobile and Backend RESTful API developmentProficiency in Java and Node.jsExperience with both NoSQL and SQL databasesStrong testing disciplineExperience with Google Flutter and DartKnowledge of Postgres, Springboot, SQL, Kafka, MySQL, Hibernate, Java, JavaScript, React/Angular, BootstrapExperience with Jira or similar issue tracking systemsProficiency with Agile practices and DevOpsU.S. Citizen; CBP Background Investigation eligibility; ability to obtain CBP clearanceExcellent written and verbal communicationProblem-solving mindsetCreative thinkerFlutter, DartJavaNode.js
