Everforth ECS CS is seeking a Scrum Master to work in our Fairfax, VA office.Role & ResponsibilitiesThe SAFe Scrum Master is a servant leader and coach for an Agile team, responsible for ensuring that the team follows Agile practices and principles. The Scrum Master facilitates team events, removes impediments, and fosters an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, predictable delivery, and relentless improvement. Specific responsibilities will include:Facilitate Agile Events: Organize and facilitate key Agile events, including Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Iteration Reviews, and RetrospectivesSupport the Team: Assist the team in meeting their delivery goals by coaching them in self-organization and self-managementRemove Impediments: Identify and remove impediments that hinder the team's progress.Promote SAFe Practices: Educate the team on SAFe principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP)Coordinate with ART (Agile Release Train): Work closely with other Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to ensure alignment and coordination across the ARTFacilitates preparation and readiness for ART events. Assist the team in preparation for ART activities, including backlog refinement and supporting upcoming Planning IntervalsCoordinate with other teams: Support the team's efforts to continuously improve communications and relationships with other teams. Represent the team in the Scrum of Scrums (SoS), helping the team remain aware of opportunities to engage and improve program effectivenessContinuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging the team to identify and implement process enhancementsStakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing updates on team progress, risks, and dependenciesRequired SkillsUS citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust SuitabilityBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent technical project experienceCertified SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a related Agile role (Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, etc.)Strong understanding of Scrum and Kanban principles, SAFe principles, and Lean-Agile practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively on cross-functional teamsProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProven expertise in deliverable tracking in an Agile environmentExperience with Agile tools (for example JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.)Desired SkillsSolid understanding of Amazon Web Services offeringsExperience with DHS Programs and the DHS Systems Engineering LifecycleExperience with Cyber Security Programs/CustomersSAFe Agile Experience and/or CertificationITIL Practitioner Certification and ITIL Foundations CertificationExperience supporting a Government CustomerEqual Opportunity Employer StatementECS Federal LLC is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis any characteristic protected by law.
