JOB SUMMARY
Relay Resources is seeking a senior UKG Pro Configuration Manager (Lead) to own the design, configuration, and stand-up of UKG Pro as part of a broader ERP and Data Ecosystem transformation.
This role is responsible for establishing a clean, secure, and scalable UKG Pro environment, leading configuration decisions, and guiding the migration from UKG Ready to UKG Pro. This is a hands-on leadership role, not an administrative position.
The ideal candidate has deep experience configuring UKG Pro in complex environments and understands how HR data, security, and integrations must work together to support compliance, auditability, and enterprise reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
UKG Pro Configuration & Design (Primary Ownership)
Lead the stand-up and configuration of UKG Pro
Design and configure:
o Core HR modules
o Security roles, permissions, and access controls
o Workflows and approvals
Establish the target-state configuration, avoiding carryover of UKG Ready limitations
Own configuration standards and design decisions
Data Migration (Ready ? Pro)
Lead configuration-level decisions for data migration from UKG Ready to UKG Pro
Define what data migrates, how it maps, and how it is validated
Partner with technical resources to execute migration activities
Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness
Governance, Security & Controls
Implement strong role-based access and segregation of duties
Ensure UKG Pro configuration aligns with data protection and compliance requirements
Support audit and reporting needs related to HR data
Document configuration decisions and system setup
Integration & Ecosystem Alignment
Partner with:
o UKG Developer (integration execution)
o Data Ecosystem Architect (enterprise data alignment)
o Process Engineer (documentation of newly designed processes)
o Project and Program Managers (delivery and sequencing)
Ensure UKG Pro configuration supports downstream integrations (e.g., ERP, reporting)
Provide design guidance for UKG-related integrations
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work with HR and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clean system configuration
Use the existing UKG administrator as a source of business context, not system design
Act as the final authority on UKG Pro configuration decision
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of UKG experience, with significant UKG Pro configuration leadership
Proven experience leading UKG Ready ? UKG Pro migrations
Deep understanding of HR data models, security, and access control
Hands-on experience configuring UKG Pro in production environments
Ability to operate independently and make high-impact design decisions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting HR systems within a broader ERP or data ecosystem
Experience working in time-compressed implementations
Familiarity with audit, compliance, and data-privacy requirements
Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer discipline
What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)
UKG Pro is fully stood up with clean, secure configuration
Migration from UKG Ready is completed with validated data
Security roles and permissions are correct and auditable
UKG Pro is ready for integrations and enterprise reporting
Relay has clear ownership and documentation for ongoing operations

Performs duties independently and in collaboration with direct reports and the department director.
