Senior Superintendent – Multifamily ConstructionPosition Overview: The Senior Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field operations on multifamily construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role leads site teams, coordinates subcontractors, and serves as the primary on-site point of contact.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from ground-up through project closeoutDevelop, maintain, and enforce project schedules and lookahead plansCoordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staffEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company safety standardsConduct regular site walks to monitor quality control and progressCollaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, procurement, and logisticsIdentify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays proactivelyManage inspections, permitting, and ensure code complianceMaintain daily reports, documentation, and site recordsDrive project completion in alignment with client expectations and company goalsQualifications:8–15+ years of construction experience, with a strong focus on multifamily projectsProven experience as a Lead or Senior Superintendent on ground-up multifamily developmentsStrong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems (Type I–V)Ability to manage large teams and multiple subcontractorsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficient with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)OSHA 30 certification preferredKey Skills & Competencies:Leadership & team managementScheduling & coordinationQuality control & safety enforcementBudget awareness & cost controlStrong decision-making under pressureTypical Projects:Garden-style, podium, wrap, and high-rise multifamily developmentsMixed-use projects with retail/parking componentsLarge-scale apartment communities and luxury developments
