Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
We are seeking an FP&A Manager to join a growing, premier $125 Million+ Social Justice organization. This position will play a pivotal role in the organization as it continues to grow its portfolio of restricted funding and additional revenue streams in the NY region. This position will report into the Director of FP&A and manage a team of direct reports.BenefitsHybrid schedule into Manhattan (2 days office | 3 days home)Lofty 403B matchStrong Medical, Dental, and Vision package (heavily covered by org)45+ days of total PTO days (Vacation, Sick, and Holidays) ResponsibilitiesOversee the financial management of all grants, contracts, and revenue streams - ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue, expenses, and reporting with their allocated portfolioCollaborate with program managers to develop grant budgets, financial forecasts, variance insights, and strategic planningMonitor budgets and expenditures, providing regular financial reports to senior leadership and the boardAssist with quarterly financial reportingEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as specific grant requirements from institutional and foundation donorsPrepare and submit financial reports to grantors as required by grant agreements.Audit and approve the expenditures, allocations, and codingLead the team to achieve organizational goals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovationMentor and coach team members, providing guidance to enhance their skills, career development, and performanceImplement best practices and continuous improvements QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, MBA, CFA, or CMA preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in restricted funds management, with at least 2 years in a people management capacity, preferably in a social services setting.Strong knowledge of state and city grant and contract regulationsProficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
