Software Quality Engineering

Overview In this role you will create and maintain test cases and scripts, drive automated testing, and ensure usability and functionality to meet customer requirements. You will manage QE tasks from handoff through testing and deployment, define metrics to measure coverage and effectiveness, and diagnose complex application issues. You will communicate impact and status clearly and apply industry best testing practices to the team. Travel may be required to support customer activities; the client requires US citizenship and the highest security clearance. This position supports delivering secure, reliable software solutions in a compliance-driven environment. ResponsibilitiesCreate, execute, and maintain test cases and scriptsCreate defect reports and follow through to resolutionIdentify severity and communicate priority and impactProduce status reports and communicate progressRun automated tests and manage QE tasks from handoff to productionDefine and implement test metrics for coverage and effectivenessDiagnose and document advanced application issuesApply industry best practices in testing methods and share with the teamTravel as needed to provide professional services and support customer activities Key requirementsUS Citizen and ability to pass highest level security clearance5+ years of Software Quality Engineering experienceExperience with JIRA and HP QCUnderstanding of Client/Server and Web Application testingAbility to design, create, and maintain automated testing suitesUnderstanding of development lifecycleAbility to learn and understand complex design systemsStrong logic and troubleshooting skillsStrong written and verbal communicationStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsDemonstrated testing skills with diverse tools, techniques, and standardsKnowledge of operating systems, system architecture, databases, and file systemsAbility to set goals and meet deadlinesAbility to troubleshoot and isolate issuesKnowledge of Retail domain is a plusStrong written and verbal communicationAttention to detailOrganizational skillsJIRAHP QCAutomated testing
