The Process Development Engineer will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for a growing Houston manufacturing operation. This role will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and operations teams to develop efficient, repeatable, and scalable manufacturing processes from design through production.Pay

First shiftDutiesDevelop, implement, and improve manufacturing and assembly processesSupport production line setup, workflow, tooling, fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing layoutsIdentify opportunities to improve production efficiency, quality, safety, and consistencySupport new product introduction and the transition of designs from engineering into productionApply design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly principlesDevelop process documentation, work instructions, manufacturing standards, and proceduresTroubleshoot manufacturing, assembly, and production issuesSupport process validation and continuous improvement activitiesPartner with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve manufacturabilityEvaluate existing manufacturing processes and recommend improvementsSupport automation, tooling, and equipment improvement projectsAssist with developing scalable manufacturing processes as production volume increasesParticipate in root-cause analysis and corrective action activitiesSupport the implementation of standardized production methods and best practicesResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize manufacturing processesSupport manufacturing launches and new product introductionImprove production efficiency, quality, and repeatabilityPartner effectively with engineering and production teamsDevelop manufacturing documentation and work instructionsSupport tooling, fixtures, automation, and production equipmentTroubleshoot manufacturing and process-related issuesDrive continuous improvement initiatives across production operationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering disciplineExperience in manufacturing, process engineering, production engineering, or a related environmentStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, and production equipmentExperience developing or improving manufacturing processesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentationStrong technical problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience working closely with manufacturing and production teamsUnderstanding of design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly principlesExperience developing process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing standardsExperience supporting new product introduction or manufacturing launches preferredExperience with automation or production equipment improvements preferredPreferred experience within industrial equipment, modular manufacturing, prefabrication, electrical/mechanical systems, or a related manufacturing environmentStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively in a growing and evolving manufacturing operationJob Type
