WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR: We seek driven individuals who embody our core values of empathy, accountability, collaboration, growth, and inclusion.PRIMARY PURPOSE: To meticulously analyze complex general liability claims, ensuring just benefits are provided in alignment with service expectations and industry best practices, while identifying avenues for subrogation and negotiating settlements.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Investigate and evaluate complex claims to ensure accurate exposure assessments and manage case resolutions through effective action plans. Assess liability and execute timely claims resolution within established parameters. Negotiate settlements within your authority while ensuring all case documentation is thorough. Maintain appropriate reserve levels throughout the lifecycle of each claim. Coordinate necessary state filings while upholding industry compliance standards. Oversee the litigation process to guarantee timely and cost-effective outcomes. Utilize cost containment strategies, including vendor partnerships, to mitigate overall claim expenses. Manage recoveries related to subrogation and other funding sources, ensuring accurate reporting to excess carriers. Maintain professional client communication regarding claim progress, fostering strong relationships. Ensure correct documentation and coding of claims files, referring complex cases as necessary for further review. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational objectives. Actively contribute to the organization's quality initiatives. Travel as required to meet business needs. QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Licensing: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Relevant professional certifications may enhance your candidacy.Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of general liability claims management experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.TAKING CARE OF YOU:Referral incentive program available. As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles in jurisdictions that mandate pay transparency. For this role, starting pay ranges from $75,000 - $100,000.
