The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of US GAAP and proficient computer skills including a thorough understanding of Sage and Microsoft office products. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and analytical, have the ability to manage multiple tasks, set and meet deadlines, have strong verbal and written communication skills and be a team player.Role And ResponsibilitiesQualifications and Education RequirementsAbout Blueport - www.loveyournetwork.com Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate financial reports Assist in the preparation of month end reviewed financial statements.Manage local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Perform detailed general ledger balance sheet reconciliations and verify the accuracy of data entries.Responsible for Accounting functions including but not limited to cost analysis and payables.Engage in weekly team meetings to discuss cash requirements and any unresolved vendor issues.Assist with Accounts payable functions including vouchering invoices, entering invoices, preparing check runs and researching unpaid invoices. Assist the CFO/Controller by collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline businesses processes and enhance efficiency.Maintain adherence to internal controls and accounting best practices.Provide support during external and internal audits.Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.Ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies, internal controls and procedures are defined, documented, and followed. Other duties and projects as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.3+ years’ experience in an accounting role. Supervisory experience is a plus.ERP Systems experience understanding and knowledge, Sage experience would be ideal. Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of GAAP. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word. Excel)Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.High level of professionalism and confidentiality.Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.Ability to respond to email queries quickly and effectively. Ability to analyze workload and prioritize tasks and assignments according to importance.
