Manufacturing Technician

We do this through the ibot Personal Mobility Device, a marvel of engineering that climbs stairs, navigates rough terrain, and elevates users to eye-level—all with grace and independence.The Manufacturing Technician supports company activities related to manufacturing, product testing, and delivery to users. This includes assisting Assistive Technology Professionals in configuring user seating on a case-by-case basis, receiving and managing documentation, and tracking user contacts using the provided CRM tools. The role also involves providing technical support to clinicians and users, while identifying recurring issues and offering recommendations for resolution. Additionally, the Manufacturing Technician prepares manufacturing and distribution-related documentation and readies materials for shipping.Responsibilities: Build user and demo devices to meet specificationsIdentify reoccurring issues and recommend constructive resolutionThrive in a fast paced, professional, customer-oriented company.Perform final system integration and testingAssist Supplier ATPs with specific assembly/modification requestsMaintain calibration and other QA documentation needsAttend and support trade shows and industry events as neededRequirements/Qualifications: 3 to 5 years' experience in a technical service role or mechanical technician role, involving customer facing activities.AS Degree or equivalent with engineering discipline preferred.Medical device experience preferred, working with the disability community a plusExperience using hand and/or power toolsExperience servicing electromechanical equipment or devicesAttention to detail, safety and quality oriented, with ability to follow Good Documentation PracticesAbility to maintain confidentiality when provided with sensitive informationAbility to diagnose problems and see the solutions through to completionAbility to think quickly to handle unique situationsSalesforce CRM experience preferredGood computer skills including proficiency using Microsoft OfficeMust demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills – Internally and ExternallyExperience with handling customer complaintsOutstanding customer service skills and ability to maintain a high level of qualityAbility to prioritize work and multi-task effectivelyAbility to work as part of a team and provide support to departmental and company goalsBe able and willing to work additional hours when required, including weekendsPhysical Requirements: Ability to complete all tasks that require the use of a computer and office equipmentAbility to move throughout the building and grounds and communicate with employees, customers and othersAbility to meet the requirements/contraindications of the ibot PMDMust be able to bend, twist, and reach frequently, must be able to lift 75lbs frequentlyAbility to travel as needed domestically (~20%)Powered by JazzHR
