The Laboratory Analyst is responsible for preparing samples for analysis, preparing reagents, keeping accurate records, and maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a research laboratory setting. **Duties:** Prepare samples for analysis according to SOPs. For microbial sample preparation, sterile technique must be followed. Prepare reagents for sample preparation and sample analysis. Follow all policies and procedures to maintain compliance with the CRC and ISO 17025 Standards. Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory. Maintain, clean, and sterilize laboratory instruments and equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed Recognize issues that need to be brought to the Laboratory Manager or Laboratory Director’s attention. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other tasks as needed. Assists with in-house calibration checks, as needed. Assist with consumable and supply inventory. Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data management **Required Qualifications:** State Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age Must have valid driver’s license Must be able to meet employment requirements set forth by NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission Subject to background check per NJ CRC Position Requirements: BS (preferred) in one of the chemical or biological sciences from an accredited college or university and 3 years practical experience; or 2 years of college coursework from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of full-time, practical experience Experience working with basic laboratory equipment such as pipettes and balances.PCR: 2 years (Required) Plating: 2 years (Required)  **Desired Qualifications:** Experience working in a high throughput microbiology or chemistry testing laboratory. Experience working in a cannabis testing laboratory. Experience working in an ISO 17025 or other accredited laboratory. Experience working with a LIMS. Experience with sterile technique, PCR (PathogenDx preferred), and PetriFilm for working in the microbial laboratory. Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
