Shear / Saw Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team. The Saw Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining saw equipment to cut various materials according to specifications. Role and Responsibilities · Setup and operate shear to cut sheet metal with ordinary tolerances or requirements · Setup and operate saws safely to precisely cut bars, tubing, rods, etc. · Assist in ordering and receiving incoming raw materials · Select and use material to avoid excessive scrap · Maintain machines and perform general housekeeping · Inventory and organize raw materials Qualifications and Education Requirements · Previous metal working experience preferred · High School Diploma preferred · Ability to lift over 50lbs. Duties - Set up and operate shear to cut sheet metal with ordinary tolerances or requirements - Set up and operate saw safely to precisely cut bars, tubing, rods, etc. - Read and interpret blueprints to determine cutting requirements - Inspect materials for quality and accuracy - Assist in ordering and receiving incoming raw materials - Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area - Inventory and organize raw materials Experience - Proven experience as a Saw Operator or similar role - Previous metal working experience preferred - Ability to conduct quality inspections using tools like calipers - Familiarity with forklift operation for material handling - Ability to lift over 50lbs.
