We are currently seeking a Lead Operator who is ready to take ownership on the production floor—guiding team members, driving performance, and ensuring operations run safely and efficiently.
Basic Function
Serve as a working leader within the assigned work cell by setting the standard for performance, supporting team members, and helping drive daily production success. This role is responsible for coordinating activities, reinforcing expectations, and ensuring alignment with company goals related to Safety, Delivery, and Cost.
Overall Responsibilities:
Guide, train, and support operators to ensure efficient workflow and productivity
Serve as the first point of contact for operational questions and problem-solving
Champion a strong safety culture by modeling safe behaviors at all times
Drive the team to meet daily production goals with urgency and accountability
Minimize waste and downtime through proactive leadership and problem-solving
Support employee development and performance improvement efforts
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
Support Supervisors and Area Managers in achieving department goals
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or production experience
Prior leadership or team lead experience (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
Dependable, organized, and self-motivated
Ability to read basic work instructions or drawings
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word)
Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred
