Director of Tax

Job Title: Director of TaxLocation: Dallas, TX Responsibilities: Lead and manage the tax department, including tax planning, compliance, and consulting services for individuals, businesses, and organizations.Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for clients.Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex tax issues, including mergers and acquisitions, international tax, state and local tax, and tax controversies.Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to advise clients and ensure compliance.Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and delivering exceptional client service.Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing training, guidance, and support to promote professional growth and development.Collaborate with other departments and teams within the firm to deliver integrated solutions and support overall business objectives.Participate in business development activities, including networking, client meetings, and proposal preparation to acquire new clients and expand services.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in tax accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.Experience with tax planning, compliance, and consulting services for individuals, businesses, and organizations.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Proven leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
