Test Engineer
The Test Engineer’s role is to setup, perform testing, and troubleshoot strategic projects, and embedded hardware platforms. This individual will work in collaboration with other production and engineering areas.
*Essential Functions:*
* Production test setup, test, and measurement equipment to conduct system level testing and troubleshooting
* Maintain and test environmental chambers in our facility
* Have the ability to review schematics and “debug” circuit boards and systems
* Provide clear and effective communication on status of projects
* Define and document test requirements
* Configuration management of test assets and setups
* Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment including but not limited to oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter, and other input/output electronic test devices
* Perform electrical and software engineering concepts including basic electrical wiring, remove/replace connectors, and mechanical aptitude
* Setup and troubleshoot a PC to an extent
* Setup and maintain labs for fast paced testing/production environment
* Test data gathering, storing, retrieving and analyzing
* Follow and adhere to all applicable manufacturing procedures and documentation
* Board and system level testing
* Establish and maintain organizational system in labs
* Ability to write new test procedures
*Skills/Qualifications:*
* Electrical and software engineering concepts and electrical components experience
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
* Recent experience in board and system level testing
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
* A hands-on, "get it done" attitude
* Strong communication and leadership ability
* Ability to work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines
* Creativity and self-motivation to solve unique and complex technical problems
* Desire to lead teams and be promoted to higher levels of responsibility
* Knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows 7, Word, Excel, etc.
* Excellent oral and written English skills
* Board and system level troubleshooting a plus
* Aerospace or Military standards knowledge a plus
* Aerospace or military project RFP process knowledge a plus
* U.S person
*Required Education/Experience:*
* 3-5 years recent test lab hands-on experience within an Aerospace, Defense or Space Environment.
*Preferred Education/Experience:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other engineering related field.
