Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Journeyman Plumber to join our team in Ipswich. As a Lead Plumber, you will act as a field leader, responsible for overseeing plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs on mainly residential job sites. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership skills, guiding apprentices, ensuring code compliance, and delivering excellent customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesJob Site Leadership: Supervise plumbing teams on residential and commercial sites, coordinating daily tasks and maintaining workflow.Installation & Repair: Diagnose, install, and repair plumbing systems, including high-efficiency boilers, water heaters, radiant heat systems, and plumbing fixtures.Customer Interaction: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, explaining project scopes and providing professional, friendly service.Code Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing regulations.Mentorship: Provide guidance, training, and supervision to junior plumbers and apprentices.Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.Materials & Safety: Manage job site materials/inventory and promote a safe, clean work environment.QualificationsLicensing: Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License is required.Experience: 5+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing.Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of plumbing codes, heating systems, and specialized equipment.Leadership: Proven experience leading a crew or managing projects.Communication: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record required.Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions (bending, kneeling, crawling).What We OfferCompetitive compensation based on experience.Full-time, year-round work.Health insurance and retirement plans.A company-provided vehicle and tools.Opportunity to work with a reputable, family-owned company with a 40+ year history.
