Linux/GitLab Administrator

Position OverviewRothe is seeking a hands-on Linux Administrator with strong GitLab administration experience to operate, secure, and evolve enterprise platforms supporting NASA JSC’s mission-enabling applications.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, secure, and maintain Linux-based systems.Manage GitLab infrastructure including upgrades, CI/CD pipelines, runners, and integrations.Implement system hardening, patch management, access controls, and compliance baselines.Automate system tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or similar tools.Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for platform reliability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams across NASA JSC operations.Minimum Qualifications5+ years Linux systems administration experience.Experience managing GitLab in enterprise environments.Proficiency with automation tools (Ansible/Terraform).Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts, pipelines, and runners.Experience with security hardening and compliance requirements.Must be able to attain and maintain a NASA Level of Confidence (LoC) of 50, which is based on identity proofing, background checks, and investigation.
