DescriptionIT lead MES engineerONSITE 5 DAYS - Tuscaloosa, AlabamaWe are looking for a Sr. IT lead position, the candidate will be responsible to provide to IT support:+ Detailed understanding of MES for manufacturing operations+ Project coordination and Management+ Team management: including project assignments, team availability and Shift management+ Understanding of IT support areas: Infrastructure & NetworkDuties and ResponsibilitiesMES· MES System monitoring, troubleshooting, problem resolution and implementation· Make changes to or create required steps or logic within the MES system· Track and control MES devices and their configurations· Hardware support - configuration of printers, scanners (PPC), cconfigure and troubleshoot barcode scanners· Inventory Management of hardware used for operations· Take new MES requirements / changes from operations team:o Translate it into technical specificationso Creating work instructionso SQL Job maintenance and trackingo Review and test the change with production team and 3rd party supporto Plan for rolloutInfrastructure· Basic level network troubleshooting· Should be able to troubleshoot other systems that are integrated with MES (such as JIS sequence system, Paintshop system, AIB, HMI etc.)Project Management· This position will function as the dedicated Sub-Project Manager working with the PM team to plan and coordinate for all projectsTeam management· MES Team coordination - Assign projects to MES Engineers, support the MES Engineers for projects from Assignment to Implementation· Manage IT Team's availability and shift management· Regular status and review meetings with IT DirectorRequirementsGeneral Requirements· Present strong interpersonal and communication skills; business operations facing· Ability to prioritize work in a multi-tasking and fast paced environment· Attention to details and completeness of work (e.g. documentation) will be expected· Must be a team player and also lead the IT team with a high degree of self-motivation· Ability to learn and apply technical information and are motivated to grow· Authorized to work in the United States· This position may require some local, national, and occasional international travelEducation & Experience Requirements:· Bachelor's degree or equivalent· 7+ years of experience in IT and at least 3-4 years in a Lead position· Working knowledge of technologies such as Microsoft Excel and Database (MSSQL)· Strong ability to diagnose alerts, events or issues· Experience in a manufacturing environment- Proficiency in manufacturing execution systems (MES) and related technologies.- Strong troubleshooting skills for devices such as label printers, network printers, and barcode scanners.- Hands-on experience with systems like SAP, Paintshop, and HMI software.- Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting and connectivity.- Ability to translate operational requirements into technical specifications and collaborate with vendor teams.- Experience in training and documentation development for operational teams.- Familiarity with tracking and configuring system devices.- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
