2nd Manufacturing Supervisor

Manufacturing Supervisor $4.00 hour shift differential 3-11:30pmResponsible for the manufacturing department meeting all production goals and objectives as set by the Operations Manager or the Company.Responsibilities Oversees and supervises the day-to-day activities of the CNC department and employees.Directs activities of employees in order to meet schedule demands.Assists employees as needed to meet schedule demands.Provides training and inspects the work of department members.Conducts performance evaluations as requested.Assists or directs the transfer of products to and from the CNC department and vendors as necessary.Maintains the team training skills requirements.Reports all work related injuries immediately to department manager and/or safety.Assists department manager as requested.Adheres to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by Company.Ensures that everyone in the department area adheres to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by Company.Assists in the hiring of new employees in collaboration with the department manager and Human Resources.Communicates/Documents all personnel and disciplinary issues that may arise within the department-to-Department Manager.Improves upon and maintains acceptable production numbers in accordance with Company standards.Always stays on task with assigned duties.Completes all required paperwork timely and accurately.Wears and enforces all necessary Personal Protective Equipment always directed by Company.Demonstrates sound working knowledge of firearms safety.Maintains respect, courtesy, positive attitude, and professionalism towards all co-workers and the Company.Communicates and collaborates with manager/management on efficiency recommendations for department.Troubleshoots problems that may arise and develop workable solutions.Reports and resolves any maintenance and/or safety issues.Assumes the duties of the Operations Manager in their absence.Completes dept. line evaluations.Manage staff to utilize strengths and maximize quality and through put.Manage ADP payroll system, make adjustments, record notes as appropriate and approve time.Manage and enforce Hazmat policies and procedures while working directly with the Safety & Environmental Manager.Actively participate and support the 5S process within the work area daily.Other duties will be assigned as required.Qualifications & Knowledge Required To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.A two-year technical degree or equivalent work experience is required.General mechanical ability is highly desirable.Operate or learn to operate a forklift.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is highly desirable.General computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office SuiteWorking Conditions Work is normally performed throughout a heated manufacturing and warehouse facility. Exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of light manufacturing, shipping and receiving, and normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.Physical Demands The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
