Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)#W2-CONTRACT ROLE Work Schedule:Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite per week (Wednesdays & Thursdays mandatory)Local candidates are strongly preferredNon-local candidates must be willing to relocate to Michigan at their own expense with no delaysInterview Process:1st Round: Virtual interview 2nd Round: Mandatory onsite interview in Lansing, MI with leadership and business teamsCandidates must provide 2 professional referencesKey Responsibilities:Facilitate requirements gathering and business process review sessionsConduct process modeling, gap analysis, and requirements refinementAnalyze and evaluate business systems, workflows, and user needsTranslate business requirements into functional and technical specificationsDevelop and manage user stories within Agile development projectsSupport strategic planning discussions and roadmap development with senior leadershipAssist with solution evaluations, risk assessments, cost/benefit analysis, and ROI analysisParticipate in project meetings and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple initiativesSupport reporting, data warehousing, and business intelligence enhancement effortsDevelop RFPs and support deployment of reporting tools and platformsProvide excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with DTMB policies and practicesRequired Qualifications:7+ years conducting business process reviews, requirements elicitation, documentation, and process modeling5+ years developing and/or managing Agile user stories2+ years working directly with senior management to facilitate strategic discussions and consensus-building2+ years supporting statements of work (SOWs), contracts, or work agreements2+ years supporting IT solution implementations for public use1+ year working with programs governed by state and/or federal regulationsStrong facilitation, analytical, organizational, and communication skillsExperience with business process reengineering and Agile methodologiesPreferred Skills:Experience with gap fit analysis and program performance analyticsStrong stakeholder relationship management skillsAbility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and initiativesExperience supporting public-sector or government IT projects
