Staff Accountant

CBIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our client in their search for a Staff Accountant.Position OverviewThe Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. This member of the team will focus on recording financial transactions, performing account reconciliations and enabling accurate and timely reporting of financials.Essential ResponsibilitiesMaintain an intricate knowledge and understanding of GAAP policiesPrepare and record journal entries to facilitate the month-end close processPerform account reconciliations and create adequate support for the balancesSupport the revenue recognition process through invoice creationAssist with the external audit processProvide recommendations for process improvements through automation, internal controls and other opportunities for efficiency gainsParticipate in special projects and/or ad-hoc analysis needs that ariseQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting1-3 years of relevant experience in a general accounting positionSolid understanding of GAAP and accrual basis accountingAttention to detail of the highest degreeExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (especially Excel)Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting systems, commercial banking platforms AP/Expense systems and payroll systemsThis role will require limited travel to corporate events that help promote engagement and learning for our corporate team members.CBIZ Talent Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.CBIZ Talent Solutions does not discriminate on the basis of race, ancestry, national origin, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification under the law.
