Transportation Manager
About the roleThe role is that of Group Transport Relationship Manager within Technology Sourcing. It reports directly to the Logistics and Technical Services (LTS) and forms part of the LTS senior management team.The purpose of the role is to manage our 3rd party logistics partners across our North American Technology Sourcing business. This includes contract negotiations and management; managing or overseeing related projects and programs; contributing to business strategy; and acting as a point of escalation.The successful candidate will be responsible for the relationship with our carriers and for maintaining and improving delivery services to our customers. Key internal stakeholders include LTS Leadership Managers, Sales Leaders and Partner Management, Legal, GIS and Finance.What you'll be doingProvide leadership and strategic management of our 3rd party logistics partnersTake ownership of contract renewals, negotiations and queries for the GroupProvide effective leadership to drive change, innovation and efficiencyTake accountability for the delivery of business focused projects/deliverables, including implementation of new carriers and servicesAct as a point of escalationContribute to business strategy, prioritize projects and objectives accordingly, and establish divisional objectivesProvide guidance on major or complex issues/campaignsEstablish productive relationships and networks at Executive level to build and maintain customer relationshipsEstablish close coordination and cooperation with key stakeholders and relevant business areas to ensure the smooth running of the overall processCost & quality management including regular reviewsWhat you haveLegally eligible to work in the United StatesExperience of working with the logistics sector, at senior level, with a track record of managing business critical partnerships [3+ years]Experience in managing contracts, including tenders and negotiationsBusiness acumen and extensive industry knowledgeStrategic thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work across different countries and culturesGood communication skillsExperience in escalation managementTeam-oriented thinking and workingHigh self-motivation, sustainability, and implementation strengthMust be fluent in English.
