ELEARNING DEVELOPER
Summary of Position
The eLearning Developer collaborates with the Training Curriculum Team to create high-quality training material. The role focuses on determining the training material needed, collecting information, and developing course materials that satisfy those needs. As part of the Curriculum Team, the developer will become proficient with the software required to develop quality content under the direction of the Curriculum Coordinator. This position supports the Training Department’s mission to provide employees with opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications & Requirements
Ability to research, analyze, and recommend solutions for creating material for technical and complex training.
Preferred experience designing engaging and interactive training using multiple delivery methods—classroom, virtual, and web-based.
Experience with creative software such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Mindstamp, etc.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, establish priorities, organize, and plan work.
Familiarity with web, application, and database software development.
Experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or modern JavaScript frameworks.
Some familiarity with audio and video production, editing, encoding, and publishing.
Passion for training and educating the workforce.

Primary Responsibilities
Understand all aspects of the training platform.
Build/add/remove courses as needed and directed.
Leverage various software programs for daily content creation.
Develop training materials ranging from simple to complex.
Write design documents and storyboards.
Collaborate with department heads, managers, and SMEs on training material creation.
Identify repetitive delivery techniques in training modules and provide alternative solutions.
Deploy Liberty’s content development workflow process when creating new training material.
Engage in conversations to understand a department’s vision for training material.

Working Conditions / Environment
Professional or business casual office environment.
Regular use of standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers/scanners, and smartphones.
Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Salary
$60,000 – $95,000 per year (compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience).
