GCP Cloud Program Manager ContractC2C Austin, TX Visa: US CitizenGreen CardGC-EADH1BH4-EADTNEAD Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Cloud Program Manager with strong GCP and technical cloud migration experience to lead large-scale cloud migration, modernization, and transformation programs. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical understanding of cloud migrations and proven experience managing complex GCP migration initiatives, working closely with cloud architects, engineers, infrastructure, application, and security teams. The candidate should be able to understand technical migration challenges, dependencies, architecture decisions, and risks while effectively managing the overall program. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end GCP cloud migration programs from planning through post-migration stabilization. Manage large-scale application, infrastructure, database, and platform migration initiatives. Develop migration strategies, roadmaps, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria. Work closely with cloud architects and engineering teams to understand migration architecture, technical dependencies, and implementation plans. Oversee migration activities, including Lift-and-Shift, Re-platforming, and Re-architecting. Identify and manage technical risks, issues, dependencies, and migration blockers. Ensure successful integration and interoperability between legacy and cloud environments. Coordinate multiple technical workstreams and ensure alignment across engineering, infrastructure, application, security, and business teams. Track migration progress, deliverables, KPIs, and overall program health. Provide regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Drive post-migration stabilization, operational readiness, and continuous improvement. Required Skills 12–15 years of overall IT experience and a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Program Manager. Strong GCP experience with a hands-on understanding of cloud services and migration capabilities. Strong technical cloud migration experience managing complex enterprise application and infrastructure migrations. Proven experience leading large-scale GCP migration and transformation programs. Strong understanding of cloud architecture, migration methodologies, technical dependencies, and implementation challenges. Experience managing application, infrastructure, database, and platform migrations. Strong understanding of Lift-and-Shift, Re-platforming, and Re-architecting strategies. Experience with cloud governance, security, risk management, and compliance. Ability to work effectively with technical teams and understand complex technical discussions. Strong program management, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong understanding of Google Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Migrate to Virtual Machines, Database Migration Service, Storage Transfer Service, GCP migration architecture and best practices, and cloud networking, security, and infrastructure concepts. Desired Skills Experience leading large-scale enterprise GCP migration programs and managing complex technical migration workstreams. Experience working closely with Cloud Architects, DevOps, Infrastructure, Application, Database, and Security teams. Experience managing multi-year cloud transformation programs.
