Overview
In this role, you will lead system and hardware development programs that enhance the efficiency and lower the cost of next‑gen fulfillment robotics. You will partner across hardware, software, manufacturing, and field teams to shape robust product delivery and drive cross‑functional execution. You’ll handle complex NPI projects, mitigate risks, and ensure timely, high‑quality results. ResponsibilitiesLead delivery of System and Hardware Product Development programs with mechanical, electrical, and embedded teamsPartner with Deployment Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Support Services, and others to set goals that improve performance, reduce cost, and shorten installation cyclesCollaborate cross-functionally to support hardware/software integration and solution developmentTriage and prioritize field requests for Hardware Engineering supportDrive consensus on technical decisions and allocate resources for high‑quality resultsLead collaboration between Hardware Engineering, Product Management, and Systems Engineering to define and decompose functional requirementsIdentify, assess, track, and mitigate program-level risks and issuesCreate, maintain, and share project information with stakeholdersFoster effective teamwork and communication across multiple groups with competing prioritiesDevelop and manage schedules across Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Safety, Regulatory, and HW Test EngineeringCoordinate with external groups to deliver project goals
Key requirementsBachelor in Engineering10+ years of hardware engineering experience7+ years working directly with engineering teamsExperience delivering products in a fast-paced, multi‑disciplined, distributed environmentExperience managing multiple projects in parallel (prioritization, planning, delegation)Expertise in core PM disciplines: scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, critical pathExperience in fast-paced, cross‑functional organizationsStrong written and verbal communication to technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior leadershipProven ability to solve ambiguous problems with structured approachesAbility to create Gantt charts and identify critical pathsPreferred: PMP or equivalent program management experiencePreferred: experience in mechanical or controls robotics work cells and related systemsPreferred: 3+ years of program or project management experienceBasic knowledge of mechanical and electrical design to align dependencies with partner teams in Manufacturing, Test, Reliability, Sourcing, Hardware Quality, Safety, Compliance, EMC, Firmware, Security, Networkingstrong communication skillsproblem-solving orientationcross-functional collaborationhardware engineeringsystems engineeringrobotics
