Electrical Assembler

*Description:* *Temp to hire* *Pay rate: $18 to $20/hr* *1st Shift* *Location: Oro Valley, 85755* *Position Summary* The Electrical Assembler position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment *Responsibilities* * Use electric solder equipment to IPC-A-610B standard * Cut, prepare and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, apply conformal coat, marking and adhesive bonding * Follow written and verbal instructions * Complete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, under direct and/or limited supervision * Perform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures * Conduct inspections of own and/or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing * Minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment, as needed * Maintain a clean and orderly workstation adhering to 5S standards * Maintain an acceptable safety record * Maintain an acceptable attendance record. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary * Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and procedures * Able and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings as required * Assist other departments with job duties, tasks, training, and development as needed * Other responsibilities as assigned *Physical Requirements* * Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking about in-door Company facilities * Lift and Carry up to 35 lbs * Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side * Perform light lifting from floor, table and shelf * Use hand tools, power tools and electric soldering gun * Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands * Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded * Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling * Minimal: exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces * Typing with computer and keyboard *Qualifications* * Good mechanical aptitude * Able to operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, electric soldering gun and light machinery; Proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned * Capable of performing basic mathematics * Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/ manufacturing instructions, policies and procedure * Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts * Able to problem-solve using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks * Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills * Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed * Able to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operation * Capable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures * Skilled at simple welding tasks and/or brazing, or soldering * Experience with MS Office Suite *Education & Experience* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Job Type: Contract Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance Education: * High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: * Soldering: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: * Oro Valley, AZ 85755 (Required) Work Location: In person
