Standby Bus Driver - 6 hr./day
Standby Bus DriverLittle Miami Transportation department is looking for a 6 hour per day standby bus driver. Standbys are guaranteed 6 hours per day. The steps below will assist you in the process. These steps must be completed in order:
Schedule a test with the Ohio BMV for a temporary CDL with School Bus and Passenger Endorsement. This test includes sections on General Knowledge, Air Brakes, Passenger and School Bus. A study manual is available at the Ohio BMV.
Contact Mrs. Kelly Oeder at keoeder@lmsdoh.org to schedule an interview and background check. A clear driving record is required. Additionally, a physical and drug test is required.
Train with one of our On-Board Instructors. The minimum time is 12 hours, and the average training is 25-30 hours.
Attend 15 classroom hours with Brandon Anness with the Warren County Educational Service Center.
Take the CDL State Test. An On-Board Instructor will travel with you when you test.
The final step is approval by the School Board for employment.
