Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations with professionalism and strong communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed05:45 PM - 06:00 AMSat05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support access control procedures for restricted areas within the location. Assist with emergency situations, disturbances, and/or medical events by following post orders, coordinating with site contacts and public officials, and maintaining professionalism under pressure.Minimum Requirements: An armed guard card or license is required. At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
