PRN Independent Support Staff

Arc Human Services is seeking PRN Independent Support Staff to join our team! We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those we serve since 1952.Job DescriptionIndependent Support Staff (ISS) position assists program participants in the development of independent living skills, behavior strategies, self-advocacy and prepares participants to become more independent in their homes, schools, communities, volunteer opportunities, or in preparation for employment opportunities. This position is primarily focused on supporting people in the community or their private homes. An Independent Support Staff person will work closely with the program participant and their family. Most available hours are daylight hours with occasional evenings or weekends.We Offer Non-Profit employee discounts and eligibility for Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Opportunity to work overtime and holiday bonuses.Qualifications One-year prior experience working with children or adults with an intellectual or developmentaldisability required- Complete PAID training provided! 18 years of age or older High School Diploma or GED Valid PA Driver’s License Candidate will need to have the ability to pass background checks, physical, TB (ALL company paid!) - must regularly lift and / or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred (100) pounds.Arc Human Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
