Business Analyst - Automotive

The Business Analyst is a strategic individual contributor role reporting directly to the COO. This role focuses on translating operational processes into clear, user-friendly content for staff, ensuring efficient workflows and consistent training standards. The analyst will conduct structured interviews and working sessions with frontline and management staff across all departments to document existing workflows and standard operating procedures with precision and clarity. Facilitating standardization of documented processes and supporting the roll out and adoption of - serving as both a communicator and a change-management resource.This is a high-visibility, high-trust position ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives at the intersection of operations, communication, and organizational improvement.Key Responsibilities:Conduct structured interviews and observation sessions with operational staff across to document current workflows, procedures, and pain pointsDevelop comprehensive current-state process maps and written SOPsPresent findings to the COO and leadership in a clear, organized, and actionable mannerCollaborate with management teams to design, refine, and formally record updated standard operating procedures that reflect best practicesSupport the rollout of new standardized processes, including coordinating communication, training materials, and adoption trackingMaintain a centralized initiative tracker covering active projects and priorities across the companyProduce regular status reports and executive summaries for the COO on the progress of key initiativesIdentify gaps, redundancies, or inconsistencies in current processes and escalate findings with recommended solutionsServe as a liaison between the COO's office and department-level staff during process improvement and change management effortsMaintain organized documentation libraries ensuring all SOPs and process records are version-controlled and accessibleExperience Requirements:2-4 years in an operations, process improvement, business analyst, or operations coordinator roleDemonstrated experience documenting business processes and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs)Experience building and maintaining initiative trackers, dashboards, or executive reporting toolsA basic understanding of LLM and AI tools to streamline business processes and materialsPrior exposure to change management or organizational development initiativesBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is a plusSkill Requirements:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for improvementExcellent verbal and written communication skills to conduct interviews, present findings, and document SOPs clearlyProficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation, data tracking, and reportingExperience creating clear, structured SOPs, process maps, and workflow documentationFamiliarity with data visualization and dashboard tools to track initiatives and report progressAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and support change management initiativesStrong attention to detail, consistency, and document control/versioning practicesExperience using AI/LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to streamline documentation and business processesAbility to organize, prioritize, and maintain initiative trackers, executive summaries, and status reportsPhysical Demands:Primarily an office-based role with prolonged periods of sitting and computer useOccasional walking or standing to observe workflows or conduct interviews with staffMay require occasional lifting of light materials (up to 10-15 lbs) such as files or training materialsAbility to communicate effectively in-person and virtually across departmentsSupervisory:N/A"Patrick Motor Group was founded on honest work, a love for cars and the people who drive them.
