Special Educator - Long Term Sub - 1.0 FTE - SY 25/26

Position Responsibilities:Teach students specific skills and strategies to help them access curriculum.Conduct IEP meetings and complete all related paperwork in a timely fashion.Monitor student progress; revise IEP according to progress.Co-teach in regular education content area, or teach substantially separate subject.Prepare students for transition to post-high school life.Communicate with school personnel outside of the department.Communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders.Job Qualifications:Attendance at departmental and school-wide meetings.Requisite licensure as defined by the DESE and SEI Endorsement.Experience implementing all parts of the IEP process.Excellent oral and written communication skills.A strong commitment to helping a wide variety of culturally diverse students achieve their full potential.Ability to support the development of culturally responsive programs and activities that promote student engagement, family engagement, community involvement and a positive school climate.Reports to: Building Principal and/or Department HeadPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
