Our team focuses on evidence-based treatments and compassionate care, serving patients with both acute and chronic wounds.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a strong background in wound management to join our multidisciplinary team. The Wound Care Specialist will be responsible for performing advanced wound assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, skin grafts and collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history, examination, and wound evaluationDevelop and manage individualized wound care treatment plansPerform debridement, dressing changes, and apply advanced wound therapies (negative pressure, skin substitutes, etc.)Order and interpret diagnostic studies related to wound healing (labs, imaging, vascular studies)Prescribe medications and order appropriate treatments per scope of practice and protocolsProvide patient and caregiver education on wound prevention and self-careCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff for coordinated careMaintain thorough and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) systemParticipate in continuous quality improvement and clinical education initiatives QualificationsCurrent, unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of CaliforniaNational Board Certification (NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC)Current DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in wound care, dermatology, or vascular medicineWound Care Certification (WCC, CWS, or equivalent) preferredStrong diagnostic, procedural, and communication skillsExperience with EMR systems and multidisciplinary collaborationCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and professional development supportSupportive team culture with opportunities for growthCompensation: $80.00 - $100.00 per hourPS: It's All About You!American Family Care has pioneered the concept of convenient, patient-centric healthcare.
