Senior Quantum Error Correction Software Engineer

In addition, the selected candidate will also perform simulations and resource estimation for practical applications with state-of-the-art fault-tolerant implementations.What You'll DoCollaborate with physicists and other QEC specialists to develop, simulate, and experimentally validate QEC codesImplement robust software components, integrate them into D-Wave's software stack, and write comprehensive testsWork with stakeholders on both near- and long-term quantum computing applications including error correction resource estimation for practical problemsWrite clean, well-documented code and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainabilityProvide software mentorship and guidance on best practices and help drive adherence to software best practicesAbout YouMS or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a specialization in quantum computing5+ years of hands-on software development experience with C, C++, Python, or another general-purpose compiled programming language3+ Quantum computing or quantum information experience including at least one modern quantum SDK such as Qiskit, Q#, CUDA-Q, or StimCompetence with Git version control, build tools, and CI/CD pipelinesUse of software testing principles and practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testingStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts.A D-Waver's DNAWe look at the future and say "why not"; we see possibilities where others see problems or routines.
